Accreditation was granted based on the results of a comprehensive on-site inspection of the laboratory’s facilities and overall management, as well as its records, staff credentials, and safety program and record.

“The certificate of accreditation ensures that our staff, laboratory procedures, and equipment have passed the CAP’s stringent evaluation, focusing on the quality of care and patient safety,” says Dr. Morgan, a board-certified reproductive endocrinologist and obstetrician-gynecologist, and the medical director of Shore Area IVF Laboratories. “With this accreditation, patients – as well as referring physicians – can be extremely confident that the highest quality of care is being provided.”

The CAP Laboratory Accreditation Program, begun in the early 1960s, is recognized by the federal government as being equal to or more stringent than the government’s own inspection program. Shore Area IVF Laboratories is one of more than 7,000 CAP-accredited laboratories worldwide.
